These latest figures from the CDC demonstrate that obesity continues to be a significant public health problem. I Never Knew That About London!!!
I recently (read: ONLY JUST) bought the book I Never Knew That About London by Christopher Winn. It caught my eye while I was in Kiev, if you remember reading about that in my travel entry. They were selling it then at 130 UAH which I would've bought had it been in excellent condition. But it wasn't. So I went online and tried to find it. eBay was selling it at its retail price, sometimes a little cheaper but with exorbitant shipping rates. Fortunately, though, I found this little gem of an online bookstore. It's called The Book Depository and they were selling my book for $10.02! With free shipping! *dies* I would've pounced on it there and then but the practical part of me told me to look around in MPH/Borders/Kinokuniya and see if they sell it there. MPH got back to me, quoting RM71.90 for the darn book. :| I was annoyed. Here, this online company is charging me for less than RM38 and MPH wants to make me pay RM71.90 for it? No thanks.
